@Roth: Not really. All it reinforces is the concept that its possible to represent higher dimensions in lower dimensional space. Exactly like the xkcd strip shows.

@corsair130: Time is a temporal dimension. A 2D world would still have a temporal element, it still wouldn't make it a 3D world like we'd think about it.
