You think I’m arguing something I’m not. You stated that “sex work is damaging precisely because it is illegal” which isn’t exactly true. The point I was making was that sex work as a whole, illegal or legal, has a lot of problems. I should have added that it’s because it’s such a stigmatized line of work.

Porn is legal sex work and that industry is rife with drug addiction, alcoholism, physical abuse and all sorts of other issues. Saying that sex work is only damaging because it’s illegal ignores the very real problems some people have being in the porn industry.

A milkshake does not require ice cream. Is it far superior when it does? Yes. But your basic components are some kind of cold milk product (including ice cream) and some kind of flavor mixed together until smooth and creamy.

Yes, I agree that some podcasts and investigative documentaries have done good things. There’s no denying that because they have literally led to convictions and closure for quite a few people.

True....but this is really why I don’t care for true crime as entertainment. It’s morbid and disturbing to go over and over someone’s real life death. Lee’s family is being retraumatized over and over.
