I’m black. I assume most white men and quite a few white women have, at one time or another, felt like black people should die by their hand or a family member’s hand.

TIME hasn’t ever retracted that interview, they say they’ve got him on tape and he’s only threatened a libel suit that went nowhere. He hasn’t pressed the issue since then which frankly leads me to believe he’d rather everyone forgot about it rather than set the record straight.

If I didn’t live in Southern California and drive everywhere, I don’t know if I could reasonably wear velvet slippers. But hey, that doesn’t mean they aren’t outdoors shoes, full stop. They aren’t outdoors shoes in certain climates and at certain times of the year.
