Bronn's always had a decent wit and knowledge about barring the pronunciation of long dead maesters names i feel. I think that line was also just to show how Bronn gained Jaime's trust as the guy to get things done and theirs certainly far worse options he could lay command with.

The path they seem to be going with for Sandor might be interesting but have to wait and see how it fits in with the rest of the events if it does at all. But Rory McCann back and finally Bronn shows up with some quips. Half way done the season and Bronn only even got a mention previous ep.
