Agreed. The lowest price a dealer will accept is decided before you walk in the door that day, and it is impervious of any sweet talking you employ.

Meh. Don’t care how they choose to set up their structure in their dealership. “This is the number I’m willing to write on the check. Do we have a deal?” Always clears all that BS up.
Yeah. It is almost as if the correct selling price is that which has been agreed upon between buyer and seller. Who knew it wasn't just given out by some rando blogger with opinions backed up by nothing of consequence...?
I had my car broken into twice back in college. One time I lost a couple of CDs. The other time I had to drive 2 hours back to my parent’s house, in the middle of winter, with just a piece of plastic taped over my empty passenger’s side window.
Really just your last sentence is all the reasoning that is needed.
Agreed. I’d much rather stroll through a low key C&C where you’re more likely to strike up a conversation, say, with the owner of an E24 6 series that they restored; than you are to wade through a throng of carnival-goers waiting to see someone doing mad burnouts.
Are you suggesting that my performance is not exactly the same as Kirby Chambliss when I press the “trac-off" button and mash the loud pedal in my sick whip?
Snort. “Why can’t I find a well organized, safe place to watch unorganized, unsafe people be reckless....?”
Everybody is looking for something different, but personally, what I liked about the C&C in our area (in the early years) is that the “hey let’s see some burnouts!” crowd was unaware of the event and still in bed.
Exactly. Auto journalism is now barely covered-over disdain for automobiles that automotive enthusiasts enjoy.
Leave it to Jalopnik to tell me what is acceptable fuel economy for my 2 seat, mid-engine sports car.
I three.
Unless you are John Cena....
Meh. There’s a lot of guys that do mechanical work for a living. They get their wrench/ grease time in while on the clock. As such, routine maintenance on the daily driver isn’t something to get all excited about.
And if you count for expectations, the car has definitely gotten CHEAPER over the years...
That's great. Buy your next car based on range/fuel efficiency if that is important to you.
Yes. Every Porsche driver ever laments that his car is inferior to a Kia while refuelling...
Have you looked at the analysis of pretty much every exotic compared to a Corvette? This is nothing new in the automotive world.
I would tend to agree. For me, cars fall into two different categories. Either they are capable of driving straight across the content without stopping longer than it takes for my kids to go pee, or they aren't.
Have you compared the fuel efficiency of the average 911 GT2 to a 4 person Camry...? Porsche has never been all about fuel mileage.
