Yeah. Just think about trying to get that dead hooker smell out of the trunk.

The bigger surprise is that some dude can sell enough of those ugly ass shoes to buy vehicles like that.

I don’t really get what you are all getting so worked up about. It isn’t like some dealer is trying to snowball a customer into thinking they are “buying an 855hp car.” The dude is clearly explaining what he is talking about.

You're thinking about power at the flywheel. Power at the crank is, you know, the power the engine is producing at the crankshaft.

IDK. I guess it really depends on what the conversation is about. If you’re trying to have a dick measuring contest over who’s car is the most badass, then yeah you should probably talk about wheel hp.

If you put a slip-ring load cell on each end of the crank, just outside of the lip seals, the reading from both of them when added up would calculate to 855hp. You’re thinking about the power delivered at the flywheel.

Have to agree. I’ve owned a couple 0f turbo cars in the past, and now own a supercharged car. The turbo cars were fine if you down shifted (to get the rpms up) a second or two before you wanted to mash it. But even then, they just don’t compare to a supercharged engine in initial response.

Now playing

One thing that gets overlooked in the discussion is that it takes 100hp to move and compress the intake air. Most people don’t appreciate the amount of power it takes to “move air.” What’s going on inside that engine must be hellish if it takes 100hp just to get the party started.

It’s not dumb at all. The bearings, crank, bearing journals, etc. etc. are all seeing the loads of an 855 hp engine.

You’re not wrong. BMW wouldn’t design an electric car with the structure of an ICE car if they knew they were only going to be building electric cars.

Would Not have been surprised at all if the cops were called even knowing full-well that it was a root beer stand. Because “public safety of an unlicensed food stand” and all that.

Thanks for the head’s up. Just ordered. My son has been diligently saving his money up to buy a switch for months. This has shaved weeks off his efforts!

The correct answer is, and always has been, gulf livery.

Not all market segments are the same. Trucks depreciate much slower than other vehicles.

I don’t think I was being rude. But I, as someone who doesn’t give a poo about reefs or fish, already knew it was quite a common practice to sink decommissioned ships to create artificial reefs. As such, I thought it was pretty common knowledge. And when this can be learned by typing 6 words into Google, well....

Meh. Like fuel cell cars to battery cars, rail guns will likely be eclipsed by lasers long before they become commercially viable on fighting craft.

How much have you read though...?

[Pinky to corner of mouth] Are they... ill tempered?

Sounds like a negotiated exchange that you are not happy with. As such, don’t take the ride, and figure out a different method of getting from the concert back home.

Some people prefer to keep their ostentatious level set down around 2. We don't all strive to announce our inner Civic Type R everytime we pull out of the garage.
