You really don't have to. If you agree to pay the numbers the dealer puts in front of your face, they will give you the keys and you can be on your way.

Disagree. 3,000 miles a year averages out to about 8 miles a day. Not a lot, but definitely enough to be a PITA if it won't start one or two mornings.
