Thank you sincerely for adding a Talking Heads category, that tickled my fanly-innards (there can NEVER be enough renditions of "This Must Be the Place"). That said, the rest of the ballot kinda sucked. :/

Good calls on Magnolia and Life of Brian (and I timidly agree with Spider-Man 3).
I wasn't realistically expecting it to happen, but totally disappointed Cabin in the Woods didn't at least get a screenplay nom.
No Ben Folds Five or Pinback, huh? Sad. I was also hoping the Chairlift album would've nudged in. That album was this year's I-Have-No-Fucking-Idea-Why-I-Love-This-So-Much of the year.
I consider myself a huge music fan, but this list convinced me I really need to follow music better, cause I haven't even heard of,…

I think the cover of his book(s) is meant to be taken ironically. And I'm okay with atheists/non-religious people being portrayed as having a sense of humor. If you actually listen to his points and arguments for atheism, he really humanizes the whole 'movement' (for lack of a better word). I haven't read this book…

"…there's a decent chance that this once will feature a scene where Morgan Spurlock suddenly strolls on stage, interrupting a song to begin asking himself rhetorical questions."
That still sounds better than actually listening to One Direction's music.

Except that he DIDN'T pull the "women aren't funny" card. He pulled the "men are funnier than women" card. Never said he wasn't an asshole for doing so. But the way AV Club has been painting him, you'd think he was starting a crusade against all women comedians (forgetting that he WORKS with a female comedian on his…

SO glad this got an A. I completely agree. This episode made me laugh hardest all half-season. It's great when the show can get in that mixture of political commentary, strong character moments (Kenny as Butters' translator, wonderful), pop culture satire (Star Wars and Disney, of course), SELF-satire (mocking how…

This week, I'm barely putting up with AV Club not putting up with Adam Carolla.

Fine, go ahead and underestimate the nerd/hipster/cult-movie culture in Salt Lake City that would come to the shit out of this showing. Everyone ALWAYS does.
