Ugh, hives and itching are the worst. Do you get drowsy from the non-drowsy anyway? Perhaps a prescription like promethazine (often used as an anti-emetic but is actually an antihistamine) or atarax would work for you. Both are good with hives and itching. The neti pot isn't so bad, you just have to get used to it.
