Right, I’m not saying Titans is set in the DCEU (or that there’s even a chance of that).... what I’m saying is that they’ve eliminated the chance that Titans could be in the same universe as Batgirl by literally casting two different Barbara Gordons at once. Which seems odd and avoidable.
That said, I hope ScarJo takes them to the cleaners on this. Disney made money hand over fist on that streaming, and she deserves a piece of the pie.
The whole situation is a little weird. So this will be maybe set in the Zack Snyder DCEU, but not in the same world as Titans because they just cast a “Commissioner Barbara Gordon” over there who’s (assumed to have been) paralyzed by the Joker? It almost seems like it would be better to have Leslie Grace play one of…
I did not expect the turn that conversation would take.
It was cool to see him as a badass like that (and do more than shoot arrows), but yeah.... it didn’t really have much impact in the end. I think it was meant to inform Nat’s decision (“I need to do this so you can be better and get your family back!”). I would be disappointed if they don’t even mention it at all in…
I agree with all of this, but especially:
I see your sarcasm and I like it.
That is a really good way of putting it!
What everyone else has said here is pretty accurate. I would say this: Playing Dungeons and Dragons with a DM is much different than a CRPG. On the computer, you focus on your character and its power because it’s almost a different genre. Let me give you a couple of ways this is true:
He Who Remains wanted Sylvie and/or Loki to take over doing that but he would have to teach them how. Once Sylvie decided to kill him there was no one to do it any more so the timelines diverged beyond recovery.
I don’t really think this will happen, but it would be awesome. I can’t speak for anyone else, but if Hayley Atwell returns to play a live-action Captain Carter.... <insert icanonlygetsoerect.gif>
Taskmaster being gender-swapped woulda been just fine with me, but fuck. Another MCU brainwashed assassin controlled by an evil guy/organization/whatever. Nothing like the character of the Taskmaster to the point they coulda gave Antonia another villain name entirely and it wouldn’t have mattered.
(The current Captain Britain is Elizabeth Braddock, f/k/a Psylocke of the X-Men. Her brother was the former Captain Britain. It’s complicated.)
I mean, it’s gotta be Taskmaster, right? I don’t know who exactly plays him/her or what their agenda is, but Taskmaster seems just right for that sort of recruitment after Natasha and family tear down whatever apparatus is keeping the Red Room going.
I almost bit. That’s a decent quality troll, man. Well done.
Seeing them finally has me excited for this movie. If loving this is Wong, I don’t wanna be wight.
I hope so, too. If Trevor Slattery shows back up, the film will be at least 40% better :)
I totally get why they didn’t put the original Mandarin in the movie, but this guy doesn’t seem to have 10 rings on his fingers, each with their own powers - he seems to have 10 armbands (that perhaps he calls “rings”) that assist him in fighting and other things. I’ll readily admit it’s been a couple of decades since…
That was the most disconcerting thing to me - I always figured the Ten Rings referred to the Mandarin from the comics. I get that they’d want to change some things about him, but the guy that’s Shang-Chi’s father is obviously not the Mandarin. He’s got rings, but he uses them to fight? Is the Mandarin actually around?…
