I think that’s a little dramatic. It doesn’t take you 72 hours to complete a raid, and there’s checkpoints in them if you do need to leave and deal with real life problems. If you don’t have the time to play the content, then you have to accept that you won’t get the rewards. The problem isn’t that casual players

D1 day 1 player and I’m done. I knew there would be problems when they revealed D2 and it just looked like a re-skin of the first game. I gave them the benefit of the doubt despite the previous 3 years of troubled experiences with D1. I shouldn’t have. When I reached the hollow end game I quickly grew tired of

Really tired of seeing sites report on this. The RT score was review bombed by angry white nerds upset they aren’t the only target audience for Star Wars anymore. The cinemascore is the exact same for TLJ as it was for TFA (A).

Well, the actress playing Alita isn’t white. It’s only evil white people who aren’t allowed to portray roles originally held by someone of a different race. Everyone else gets a pass.

Better they have endgame material ready and people not be prepared for it, than have everyone done with the game already and have no endgame content ready. *coughDestiny2cough*

I don’t expect an update to this article (I’m sure there’s a whole saga of articles Kotaku will write about the dumpster fire that is D2) but I just wanted to point out that Reddit users are still finding issues with XP. Mostly that the UI is still displaying a certain number of points but that you’re still only

Are you being wilfully ignorant? The issue isn’t about cosmetic items. It isn’t even about loot boxes. It’s about Bungie literally lying to you with the UI. The game may say you earned 15,000 exp via a public event, but only 5-10% of that is actually credited to your exp bar. It would be one thing if the game

Oh, those poor developers. If only there were some way for them to stuff their games full of some kind of small, additional transactions that could generate billions of extra dollars for them year after year. Oh well.

I’m really tired of the word “toxic” being thrown around in gaming. Seems like it’s the go-to label for any criticism someone doesn’t like. I don’t think the critical reaction to NMS at release was toxic. Not when you have a developer going on talk shows and openly lying about what’s in the game. At some point you

Are you joking? Destiny 2 was made especially for people just like you. Too busy to raid? Here’s a free raid drop just for being in a clan with people who do have the time! Suck at PvP? No worries! Have a free participation trophy from Trials just for existing!

The playerbase was spread thin in D1 because the game forces you to buy some pretty pricy DLC or be left behind. Not because people could choose which game type they wanted to play. Maybe no one is playing Supremacy because it’s a terrible game type, Bungie, not because the playerbase is divided.

The “Bright Engram glitch” was just a joke. You couldn’t actually farm Bright Engrams in the Nightfall. The Prestige Nightfall was bugged and preventing people from completing it, so users made up this Bright Engram thing because the running joke/meme is that Bungie only quickly fixes/patches things that directly
