The hero gets the big paycheck, but the villain gets the juicy, fun role. Anyhow, a few other actors with a simultaneously cool/creepy vibe that’s perfect for villain roles:

Within the climbing community, they compiled a number of first ascents and other astonishing feats. That may not matter to you, which is fine, but it made them notable to the many who care about such things. Personally, I find the feats of these men as well as Sir Edmund Hillary, Alex Honnold, and countless others insp

Man on the internet doesn’t relate to life choices of others; loudly passes judgment.”

But are you sure that you understand? These were not Mtn Dew swilling morons seeking social media fame. They were highly intelligent, unbelievably skilled climbers who were pushing the boundaries of climbing/mountaineering. Is there anything in life that is so immensely satisfying to you that, while being as

I’m guessing you make this kind of comment often on the Internet. How is it working out for you? Have you convinced the world to adopt your thrill-adverse philosophy yet?

Man, I really should avoid reading the comments in these kinds of articles.

That’s often the MO of Jezebel, isn’t it? We come here to (a) join the validation dogpile concerning things we dislike or (b) discover that the things we like actually suck.

I’m with you. If service is aggressively bad, I’ll tip them 15% while feeling simultaneously cheap (should have given them 20%) and ripped off (should have given them less than 10%). And it does seem like the tip percentage is climbing. My grandchildren will probably tip 33% and I’ll follow along but will feel

Country music isn’t really my thing, but I feel like hanging out with Reba McEntire would be really fun. She reminds me of the best parts of my southern relatives (lack of pretense, sociability, hospitality) without the worst parts (religion, politics, social and racial issues).

Same. It was the halfway mark between SJ and SF, and someone in the car would always point out the “Flintstones House” at some point as we passed it. Team Fang.

Julia Stiles was so very good in this movie. She was also way underutilized in the Bourne franchise.

I adore Elaine Benes. But Jerry cursed, too (at least in one episode) and at a child no less ;-)

This is sad, but he’s otherwise in tremendous condition for 78. I would have guessed he’s in his early 60's. Anyhow, I’m rooting for America’s Canadian Dad.

Hillary was one of the most qualified presidential candidates ever. She won the primaries and the popular vote. Don’t blame her for Trump. Blame America.

What a good sport.

I once had an amazing, almost life-changing creme brulee at a restaurant that no longer exists. It was so good that I almost had to close my eyes while eating it. Since then, I almost always will try a creme brulee if it’s on the menu because I will gladly suffer through 99 bad creme brulees (and most are truly mediocr

Right. The problem here is the kid and his, perhaps, the kid’s dad. Don’t touch and especially don’t hit players. Pretty common-sense rule.

It’s been a good season so far. Ten years ago I would have been writing this from Embarcadero 3. I still love and sometimes miss SF but am ultimately very content with my decision.
