Not only that but the great majority of those medical providers (basically anyone but the dentist or eye doctor) ask when the date of your last period was.

I’m a guy, and it is on every form that I get handed.

Literally every time I step into any medical facility, they ask if I’m pregnant. Dentist, urgent care, dermatologist. Literally the first step in going to my primary care doctor is peeing into a cup to be tested. Even my bikini waxer used to ask if I was, or could be, pregnant.

It’s on every patient intake form I have ever filled out in my life

Listen, none of us were there, so all we can go by are the accounts of those who were. You also, chose to conveniently ignore the part where the officer was said to have pepper sprayed the man and his family without cause, direction, or explanation.

You’re ignoring the bit about hyper-aggression and pepper-spraying a family with young children.

At least in the eighties GOP assholes were wrongfully, shamefully hot, you know? Now they all look like potatoes and wonder bread had an uninteresting, stupid baby.

This...is a weird take. It was funny to see conservatives become outraged over an op-ed by Macy Gray about changing the flag. But her arguments are not convincing. The flag itself doesn’t have inappropriate connotations, nor would a different flag change any of the systemic problems in this country. MAGAs have tried

Haha, I honestly didn’t think Requiem for a Dream was that bad. It seemed like a fair portrayal of addiction. Everything was going great until their heroin supply was disrupted.

Oh man... I saw kids in theatre when I was 15, wearing pigtails, a belly shirt and skate shoes.

My main takeaway was that I could not understand how it was legal for us to be there, but that the music was worthy of a mixtape.

If this is the Kids film I’m thinking of being discussed here, then it must be mentioned that Clark had an enabler, named Harvey Weinstein. Disney, which owned Miramax at the time, would not release the film, so Harvey set up a dummy label, Shining Excalibur Films, to distribute it.

I’m really curious what she means by “non-hormonal”. My guess is she means barrier methods because she states in her reasoning that hormonal birth control can “cause abortion” (yup, she’s still pushing that BS) when in reality a non-hormonal IUD is the only kind of birth control in which ovulation occurs.

It’s not reflective of the sum total of a person, since your cognitive function is a big part of you and being drunk/high impairs that. But the thing is-society knows and accepts that, and provides a fair amount of leeway to intoxicated people already. You might be irritated by your drunk friend hanging on you, or

Even if we allow for the idea that one’s personality while drunk or high is not reflective of who they are deep down, the principle still applies. If you do shitty things while under the influence, then you have no business being under the influence. Recreational drugs are not required for a full and high-quality life.

I hate this excuse so much. There are thousands of people out there with substance abuse issues that don’t physically assault people. There are thousands of people with past trauma that don’t assault people. Now, are those thousands of people 100% peachy keen all the time? Probably not. But if it was just the drugs or

OK, what’s the implication here? Cause it sounds like you’re sexualizing breast milk. Or shaming breast feeding? I can’t figure out what the innuendo is supposed to be or why you’d be afraid to ask why a child would want a sip of the break milk literally made for him.

Maybe she actually like them. IDK.

Any chance we could start ignoring the fucking Duggars and all of the weird and repulsive shit they do?  They are way past their 15 minutes of fame and I don’t care to hear about them any more.  I never cared to hear about them, but at this point they’re just rancid.

Nobody read the ending of The Grapes of Wrath!

Yes! I checked a Today article, and she drinks alcohol, uses non-hormonal birth control, and is getting therapy! Yay Jill Dillard!
