Agreed. There are some wonderful and original Japanese cartoonists( The fellow who did tekkonkinkreet jumps to mind) but the greater majority unfortunately fall in to like 5 different styles that get aped ad nauseum.

I think it's safe to say that we (Aliens)fans have grown so accustomed to disappointment with the handling of this property(in both game and film) that it's hard to get excited anymore.
