If David isn’t a “real mechanic”... who is? David has, technically, been paid for his mechanic work before. So he’s a professional mechanic. He’s also been a professional engineer. And he has extensive experience and knowledge specifically of Jeeps... so I’m curious who would be better suited than David to do a

It was inspected by a mechanic.

It’s not on the road. It’s been parked since he discovered a problem with it other than getting it to the hotel parking lot. He’s about to install new parts. Do you know how fixing things works?

Or the J10.

David? The only towels Mr. Tracy throws are shop towels. And that’s after they’re too dirty for anything else, like the dishes.

It’s in a parking lot...i dont blame u...i blame your school district

Suppose you throw in the towel and the “Jeep” goes no further. I’d still call this far of a run in a rust bucket of all rust buckets to be a helluva accomplishment. Adding more miles is icing on the cake.

First: “Hella cool.”

I mean, is there any other use for a bumper???

I prefer the GM Performance version they made. RWD and 665 HP.

Most people are afraid to get within 10 feet of this thing.

I think I’ll be good.

(Its not the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) that makes the rules. Its the National Highway and Transportation Safety Administration, NHTSA.)

These tasty little guys face the same prejudice in America:

its not the destination, but the parts you drop that fall off along the way

I’m in charge weeknights and all day Saturday and Sunday. Glad you’re liking it!

No he isn’t - the Smart pre-dated that car by five years.

My parents had one.
The gearbox is every bit as atrocious as people say. It shifts like a student driver - slow, unpredictable, rough. It really sucks a lot of the fun out of it.

Aside from that, it was a lovely car. Surprisingly comfortable. Feels exactly as a 90s Mercedes e-class but with about half the suspension

A Carol Shelby-esque autograph on the dashboard and that Jeep would be worth a solid $300.

Good on Patrick for making you get it inspected. I can only imagine the mechanic told you it was a bit rusty through laughs.
