Just reinforces my prejudice against cigar smokers. Maybe, somewhere, there’s a cigar smoker who isn’t an absolute douche (or that will ever shut the fuck up about brown liquor), but I haven’t met them yet. It’s a dick measuring contest for dudes too insecure to suck an actual dick.
He hasn’t really changed. You just grew up.
Robinson screaming for people to hold the door open before slowly walking over to it is an absolutely incredible bit
“who would have been between 15 and 21 years old at the time of the incident”
Legit all I want is a block function, like in the disqus days.
This is unnecessarily mean.
I’m on board with disliking him for his politics and misogyny, in fact those are the reasons I dislike him. I’m just a little baffled by the whole “snitches get stitches” attitude here. Like, I fully understand the systemic problems with law enforcement in our country, so maybe that’s where you’re coming from? Fuck…
He was a jailhouse snitch, being a rat is bad enough but now he’s Mr. Moral Majority, and there are several accounts of him being a terrible person and terrible to work with, particularly to women, so which of those do you want to pick?
I’m no big fan of Allen’s, but I’m confused as to what you’re criticizing here. We should dislike him because *checks notes* he got caught smuggling drugs and cooperated with law enforcement 45 years ago?

I don’t think anyone hates Chris Pratt for being Christian. It’s his particular brand of Christianity that people have a problem with. So it seems a different pedigree of bullying. But there could be something to the overexposure thing, as everyone loved Chris Pratt when he was just the guy on Parks and Rec.
I’m just going to assume, for the sake of not bashing my head against a wall, that you aren’t saying we should hate Anne Hathaway because you found an episode of Between Two Ferns she was on “cringe.”
She released the photo because she thought that would put all the talk to rest, not because she wanted it to ramp up. That ended up being a huge mistake, of course, but it’s not like she was hoping the photo would spur more discussion.
Fuck cancer. And I hope the people who spent the past few weeks clamoring for details about a stranger’s private life feel a little bit bad about themselves after this news.
right but marketing has changed in the last 40 years.
Jake Gyllenhaal strikes me as a weird little theatre imp (in a positive way) who also happens to be willing to be superhero buff. I’d disagree with people who say he doesn’t have charisma, but it’s a more malovelent, mischievous charisma - his intensity in films like Zodiac or Nightcrawler is amazing, and then on the…
I understand where Proyas is coming from, but if anybody is going to play gatekeeper it should be James O'Barr. He created the comic as a means of dealing with his fiance getting killed by a drunk driver, then watched the narrative of the character get permanently associated with the death of someone else instead.
A New York Post article claimed that it was because Lemon made too many demands, “including a free Tesla Cybertruck, a $5 million upfront payment on top of an $8 million salary, an equity stake in the multibillion-dollar company, and the right to approve any changes in X policy as it relates to news content.”
One of the reasons the modern AV Club increasingly reads like AI is the misuse of sentence structures like this:
