Eh, I kinda felt like Pellaeon was just an expository device to have Thrawn explain things to the reader, with little personality or agency of his own. Obviously a necessary thing with a character like Thrawn but really anybody could stand in.

Yeah it’s like if “Einstein” came to non-sarcastically mean “stupid person”. But I suppose that’s less likely to happen since Nimrod is a pretty obscure character, so most people wouldn’t understand that origin. Also “nimrod” sounds kinda like gibberish, where “Einstein” sounds more Germanic and severe.
