This car is about one Mustang GT350 more expensive. That’s an INSANE price gap.

Model S with 4 motors and 17 seats coming next week. Will beat Taycan.

Have you driven a Cayman? They LOVE to understeer. You either have to hit a puddle or give it a full-on Scandinavian Flick to provoke any oversteer. If you want oversteer, you need an Evora.

Because the GT4 will cost $20-30k more in the real world (very few will option a base corvette anywhere near this test vehicle, and the BASE gt4 will be $100k), has almost 100hp less, and you can’t actually buy one without a super secret allocation handshake. We don’t know performance numbers on the upcoming GT4, but

Because you only have to spend 60k to get a C8?

I love that the underhood arrangement is in the shape of a V8. Classy!

I had forgotten there was a time when an M car could go this many miles.

Works for Toyota.

Jalopnik writers, like most journalists, don’t specialize in data based analysis. It’s  easier to just get mad and make a bait driven hit piece.

Yeah any sales number comparison that doesn’t lump Chevy & GMC together is bunk. A Silverado and Sierra are more similar than a Raptor and a base F150.

Still V8, yes, but now flat plane vs cross plane. The cross plane V8 sound has been the signature of the corvette race cars forever. The flat plane sound is significantly different and (in my opinion) much less enjoyable.

I have a hunch that there will be no need to pump artificial engine sounds into the crowd’s ears.

Neat race car!

Cool, now make the Z06 look EXACTLY like this.

I can't wait to see it at Le Mans. Hopefully the FIA doesn't slow it down before it kicks some ass

I’m going to be very sad to lose the Corvette racing V8 sound. It was special and amazing.

I’m confused?

It’s pushrod, which is, uh... (checks notes) primitive! DOHC is more... what’s the word... oh yeah, sophisticated! We don’t need objective measurements of superiority as long as we can look down our noses at it.

Their pushrod engines are better than Europeans’ equivalent DOHC engines.

Have you driven a C7? Have you driven a C7 Z06?
