Somebody could just import Holden Commodore manual transmissions and the associated pieces required, then make a nice bit of bob doing conversions. The SS is just a rebadged Commodore, like the Pontiac G8 was, so it should be a breeze to do the switch.

First gen Escort, you say...

Forces clean air from above the car (away from dirt, dust thrown up from wheels etc.) into the cabin, creating a high air pressure area which stops any other stuff like dust, smoke etc. from coming in and causing havoc.

*Australia.

The guy looking down the track should have seen the cars leave the racing surface (and assuming they were coming directly at them, like this), instantly thrown himself and the other two marshals on the ground. Watching this is just scary that they were reacting that slow. On that note, first thing you learn when

no, it's actually a Super Duty.

Another brilliant Kiwi who made another huge contribution to the motor industry. I rate this guy up there with McLaren, Amon and Hulme.

I see where you went wrong. You misread 'India' as 'Japan', didn't you?

NZ ( I'm not sure about Oz) got the Stagea and Legnum too.

I love living in NZ. We get pretty much all of the Euro cool stuff from the dealer, whatever JDM cars from the dealer catalog, and really loose import and vehicle modification laws so if the dealer can't get it usually you can just import it by yourself.

Now playing

I would recommend turning the sound off, some little kid is commentating.

*cough*Australian V8*cough*

Our medical vehicles at the two racetracks we man in NZ are a Ford Falcon XR6 and an XR6 Turbo. The turbo is a beastly car for something from 2003. And the volunteering club owns them, so we get to hoon them on back roads occasionally. you don't get that in F1.

My 1970 Triumph 2000. Got it for $600 NZD (300-400USD) three months ago. I'm 15, and I can't even legally get my liscence yet, so I have another three months until my birthday to have her painted and made road legal.

From a New Zealander, (which is where the name came from, it is named after a really old lizard) it is Too-a-tar-a.

Unfortunately, if GM and Ford released the Commodore Ute or Falcon Ute in the US, it would compete with the larger US-only utes. That, and the Ford Falcon sedan would compete with the Taurus, which is our Mondeo. For these companies, it seems to be all about supporting a market.

Look up Trio at the Top, it is a doco of Bruce, Denny and Chris in thier racing career. Great watch.

Well, they technically aren't american. The Commode (Commodore) and the Falcon series are both Australian built, for Australian and New Zealand markets. Also, the Holden Commodore would compete with the Camaro, and the Falcon with the Mustang.

They usually plot the course, or the plane has GPS.
