AMEN! Destiny was an incredible Borg story-arc and really gave meaning to the race in a way no one thought of before. I loved every minute of it.
It would always be interesting to see what emerges from a Borg power-vacuum.
The Borg are not “gone,” just weakened. It would an interesting show for the Federation to do some assimilating on its own, to create new weapons and go on the offensive to make sure we never have another Borg-outbreak again.

It doesn’t mean we won’t figure out how to interact with it at some time through the correct application of exotic particles and fields of some kind.. There are a lot more kinds of particles other than baryonic matter. Maybe neutrinos or mesons or certain breeds of quarks? Makes me think of Contact or Stargate.
