I know. As a fellow brit this is “like use knives to chop things” on the scale of obvious advice.

Wow, as a Brit, the idea of someone not just using a kettle any time they need boiling water seems crazy! I only recently discovered that some people in America don’t actually own an electric kettle.

I didn’t get the point of an electric kettle until I housesat for an English guy who had one in his kitchen. Now, I wonder how I ever lived without one! I haven’t used it to speed up the cooking of potatoes, but I have for pasta, and quite successfully.

So interestingly enough when using the Logitech camera software, I still can’t snap photos, but video seems to work now. But everything is a bit slow to load and start working.

Um, would they even promise him a cover? And if they did, wouldn’t the caveat be “But nothing’s final until it’s final”?

Just to clarify: The Guardian Guide is a small format tv and culture guide, with a few small, undemanding articles on pop culture, movies, musicians etc. The main magazine supplement is called Guardian Weekend and is a much, much bigger deal with heavyweight articles. I said screw windows and installed Linux on all of my non Mac computers.

Holy shit - this is just a straight forward informative post explaining the answer to an interesting question. Well done.

No disrespect, but I think there’s one small line missing in this article: Congratulations to Elina Svitolina on her win.

This isn’t ricotta. This is “Farmer Cheese” or “Cottage Cheese”

Do the same thing with full fat milk, but no heavy cream, and press together tightly and strain through a cheese cloth and in a few hours you'll have paneer

This isn’t ricotta, which is a whey cheese made by re-boiling (“ri-cotta”) whey from making other cheese like mozzarella. This recipe is more like an unpressed paneer, which is fine. But it ain’t ricotta.

At work, I use Google Voice Assistant to randomly turn on during meetings [just last week it recited the definition of a harlot in a teleconference]. At home and on the go, I use it to repeat what I want in an aggravated tone until I just do it myself, when I don’t have family around to do that with.

Due is mildly overweight with some body hair. What’s with the body-shaming?
