Neither the original article, nor the court’s order, say anything at all about the defendant educating law enforcement about anything. In fact, as the court was dismissing the case against him, it wouldn’t have much grounds to subject the defendant to any punishment whatsoever. The defendant also didn't enter a plea

This isn’t ricotta. This is “Farmer Cheese” or “Cottage Cheese”

Do the same thing with full fat milk, but no heavy cream, and press together tightly and strain through a cheese cloth and in a few hours you'll have paneer

This isn’t ricotta, which is a whey cheese made by re-boiling (“ri-cotta”) whey from making other cheese like mozzarella. This recipe is more like an unpressed paneer, which is fine. But it ain’t ricotta.

“Helium is the most abundant element in the universe, but there’s precious little of it here on Earth—only around 5 parts per million. It’s also the lightest element”

The outer black discs always reminded me of aquarium charcoal. Glad to see someone else has a similar perspective. :)

At work, I use Google Voice Assistant to randomly turn on during meetings [just last week it recited the definition of a harlot in a teleconference]. At home and on the go, I use it to repeat what I want in an aggravated tone until I just do it myself, when I don’t have family around to do that with.

Battery life on a Dewalt cordless angle grinder is laughably low. Damn near everything on construction sites these days is cordless, but not grinders.

Judging by some of the moving things in the video (car, bike, jogger) I would say the answer is a very well rationed and reasonable response.

What is more important: Those tools are not meant to be on for a long time. They are built for rather short usage with breaks. My Makita Power Drill will run VERY hot after about 2-3 minutes of continuous use (had to Drill a very very big hole once).

Oh okay.

Although I agree about the angle grinder thing and obviously jalopniker cruising speed, I would pay decent money to watch someone take off on one from a dead stop, considering the initial acceleration would be non existent and available torque enough to spin the wheels at any speed.

Take this star for performing the required Gizmodo task, of getting something absolutely silly and putting math and engineering science into it!

I’d wager that the drill does better than the angle grinder for speed, power being comparable. Having no torque will kill your chances of even moving.

Due is mildly overweight with some body hair. What’s with the body-shaming?

The biggest problem with this report is that many of these airlines partner up. ExpressJet, the #1 offender, will often be the carrier for American, Delta, or United flights, but their numbers don’t hurt any of these brands. If I book a flight through Delta and one leg is a Delta flight and one line is an ExpressJet
