Underage in what country? In what state? You do realize not everybody in the world has the same definition of when somebody is 'of age'. I wasn't even speaking from a legal standpoint anyways. One day she was 17, the next day she is 18. What magic transformation happened that made her go from being a child to an

I know what the OP means though. The traditional idea of child pornography being content that depicts children who look like children. That's the point. Someone with that sickness(such as Collins apparently) wouldn't be interested in a child who appeared to be an adult or even a young woman.

HOLY SHIT 2 pints of blood?? I didn't think the average erection would have anywhere near that much blood in it.

THIS, THIS, A MILLION TIMES THIS. I came on here to say the exact same thing. She did not once contact the McCanns directly, and they have admitted publicly they never read anything she wrote. They are only aware of her existence and that she said horrible things about them because someone else told them. Ridiculous

I agree - I don't think she actually was a troll. She appears to have been expressing her sincerely held views, which unfortunately happened to be very offensive. There is no suggestion that she ever threatened the McCanns or contacted them directly.

Some things about this story bother me. I'm not sure this lady was a troll - she didn't address her comments to the McCann's (who aren't on twitter) but she did repeatedly contact Crimewatch etc. She was a conspiracy theorist who had views which many would find upsetting, but she doesn't seem to have been expressing

I don't know if I'd use the term permanent science writer, but I will be a science writer on Jezebel. Without mincing words, I'm a long time reader clamoring for science coverage along with you, so I'm delighted with the opportunity to contribute.

Had enough the first time. And I llike them both, you know, well enough individually.

She wasn't sending messages to the McCanns. She was discussing them on twitter using the #mccann hashtag, which is not, nor should be a crime.

This probably wouldn't have been the case in a restaurant where everything was vegan, but I have frequently seen "vegetarian"/"vegan" options in a mixed type restaurant that come smothered with dairy, have an egg batter, have a dipping sauce with fish sauce, are "vegetarian" soups made with chicken stock and cream

Some of the replies to this story are no better than the tweets that Leyland was posting about the McCanns.

Much discussion of this in my office today - I work at a company where we run a message board which we moderate the living shit out of: as a result it's a very pleasant and safe online place to be. Our moderation approach is on the strict end of the continuum (it has to be; we have a lot of kids visiting our site),

... so pose as a pimp/agency owner involved in the underground/underage sex trade, and just collect photos instead?

Obligatory.

Yay for safe sex.

These are all funny. I only have a problem with this one:

Damn, is it that bad not eating meat, that vegans have to lie to themselves to eat their awful food? If all you serve is soy, just fucking serve soy! Stop trying to pretty it up with fancy shapes and names of foods you're too good to eat!

Welcome to the bane of every trans* person's clothing existence.
