I’m guessing that the issue of compounding mistakes is to blame, moreso than the direct process. The ABC method has been used before, to great success. ABC trades rodaway closure time for increased tolerances, meaning that you need really good contractors as well as proper oversight.

This is true. There are a few scattered days in there that are nice. I would always allow myself one snowy day to walk down to the loop and see the city in all its lights.

Having lived in Chicago for a number of years, and now living in Austin, I’ll say this. 90% of Chicago is meh. But that 10% brother. That 10% is worth all of it. A 75* summer Saturday in Chicago is one of the best experiences you can have. I very likely will never move back, but I will debate moving back forever.

I’m also excited to see this. It’ll be nice to give Jeep some competition. Right now the price keeps creeping upwards because they have no need to build a cheaper version. You want a Jeep, you buy what they sell. A Bronco might be able to get them to pay attention to the lower end models to keep new people coming into

Austin is the worst. I lived in Chicago and could find a garage there pretty easily, albeit expensive. I cant even find a garage to rent in Austin. All the old little houses are getting torn down at a crazy rate, and no one build houses in town anymore, just apartment buildings.

Elon just played all of the Fallout games right? He’s hugely impressive, but I can’t shake the 1950's Everything is Possible Through Manufacturing feeling.

While thats true, the opposite is what worries me. Enercell has long been making Amazons batteries for them, but the world doesnt know who Enercell is. Enercell is sold to a new investor who really wants to make more money. They switch over to conflict minerals quietly. No one knows who Enercell is, but in case they

Fair points. I guess since Amazon’s major play is actually their logistics, more so than their sales, I get a little worried that the company that can move products like crazy can also control the products they move. Sure, even if another company is making all the batteries and they are just relabeled, Amazon still

For real. Also, I just don’t buy Amazon basicas stuff. I’m okay with Amazon being a retailer and logistics giant. Those seems like industries that improve from being large. I’m not super comfortable with them also being the supplier of goods. That’s far too close to a monopoly.

I believe you’re seeing the light scatter through the clearcoat and into the carbon fiber. In the photo it’s absolutely orange-peel-ish, but in real life im sure its just the depth of the clear coat causing some refraction along the lines in the reflection, and it looks fine.

Indeed. The books also help fund the tournament pool, so you build some hype for the tournament while also gaining some cash. Its a good system. I don’t care about cosmetics in the slightest, but I still shell out the $5 just so I can play the challenges and what not.

Writers; They’re people too!

Man, I’ve thought for a long time that Jeep needs to make a super stripped down, ready to mod, ready to off-road version, but it’s so hard to make it road legal. The RZR community was staring us in the face the whole time.

I really like these, and I’m glad that they are making them but not being street legal is such a tough sell. Most old CJs arent driven daily, but they can be driven to the places you want to have fun in them. Depending on the price of this it’d be hard to pick this over an older CJ. Anything over 10 grand and you

A lot of states have motor size limits for off road trails that aren’t specifically for 4x4 vehicles. SXS’s usually max out at 1000cc or 1 liter, so that you don’t end up with someone taking a massive truck down small trails and generally ruining everything. If you’re on private property, go crazy, but public trails

The sticker is basically a wheel tax, so the justification is that if you drive into the city from outside, you aren’t paying your taxes into the city, but you are using its infrastructure. This doesn’t really work, as lot of Chicago’s commuters come from Indiana and Wisconsin, so Illinois can’t force that tax onto

Its a shame, too. There are other really good cities close by, but they’re all so much smaller than Chicago. I love Indianapolis and Madison, but they’re cities that you will end up feeling like you know everyone in.

Yea. To the city, I was an out of state resident that worked in the city, ergo I needed a parking pass for day-day life. Its a sham.

The issue is twofold on city stickers though. Theyre a bit pricey, but the first time you buy one you have to go to a designated location in person. Those locations are almost all 9-5 joints, so unless you can come up with time off work, you can’t get a sticker easily. If you work a minimum wage job, you’ll have
