What I got from this thread is that multiple people find it acceptable to call you Nancy and Mary because they disagree with you. Gross.

Most women I know just expect a partner to work as hard as they do, so there's some equity. Also, it's nice to know that someone financially stable has your back if you lose your job, regardless of gender.
