He definitely WAS like that, but he cleaned up his act. Is that good enough to excuse the horrible shit he said and did when younger? No, but it’s nice to know that in his final few years he truly became the man of peace and love he is portrayed as being.

There is a problem with Black Widow, but it isn’t because of Joss Whedon. The marketing of toys is terrible. I saw a commercial the other day for Avengers AoU toys and she was not there. And Jeremy Renner continuing on about her being a slut when clearly in the films she has not been, is just bad.

Absolutely spot on. Show started out great and just got shittier. That miniseries on STARZ was an abortion.

Maybe it squandered a few plot lines and unsatisfyingly resolved some others, but the show itself fulfilled a shitload of its potential and actually broke a lot of new ground in TV. How many LOST clone shows debuted and failed during and since that great show?

EXACTLY what I did. I barely made it to the hiatus, having already been thinking about letting it go. Then once it was off air, I just let it go.

It is terrible. I thought the pilot episode was awful, but people were raving about it. The next few were actually decent, but then it started this downhill slog that is just unbearable.

Still missing the point though. Suppose Jack, Kate and Charlie did tell everyone back at the crash site that something monstrous killed the pilot. They didn’t want to cause a panic so they withheld the info, but suppose they did tell everyone. What plot would have been unable to be furthered by disclosing this…
