I really think she believed that trying to facilitate a conversation between the perpetrator and the victim would be beneficial to everyone. I have no idea if it would do any good, but maybe it would be cathartic for the women to tell Halperin to his face how shitty he was. At the same time, there’s a strong…
OK, but I’m skeptical at how much impact that really had, especially with so many media sources for people to pick and choose from while ignoring the ones that don’t fit their worldviews.
Former F&I guy here: protect yourself from this nonsense by having your own financing in-hand before casting a shadow on a dealer lot. If you are unable to get your own financing due to credit issues, the universe is screaming at you to not buy a car.
How is choosing whose penis you allow to enter your vagina bigoted or homophobic? Are we so politically correct now that we can’t decide for ourselves who we have sex with?
The gay porn side is not nearly as stringent with testing as many gay porn performers have whistle blown over the years. In condom shoots there’s a don’t ask don’t tell philosophy. And performers do show up with dated certificates and still shoot as long as the other party doesn’t ask. In bareback shoots it can go…
Apparently they don’t have the same testing requirements. That was her argument and a lot of people backed her up on that
Apparently it wasn’t about bigotry, but that is what it’s been painted as
Our RV has 600W of solar. We can spend weeks at a time in the middle of nowhere (Utah is a great place for that), only having to dump waste tanks and get fresh water every 10 days or so.
Freedom. That’s why. Depending on your situation, Ifyou own your rig, there’s no recurring bills, no annoying HOA. It’s beautiful. Absolutely freeing.
Having a bathroom for a 6 year old to be able to use anytime she needs is worth whatever the fuel cost is.
My friend’s mom has a big ass RV in her driveway. His dad died of cancer in his early 50s, and it was his dream to spend retirement traveling in one. After he died, my friend’s mom bought one to fulfill his dream. Every summer weekend, she drives 20 minutes to a beach near her house, sets up in the parking lot on…
Look bigger picture and you’ll find good reason:
I agree with you wholeheartedly. I really don’t understand all of the RV hate here.
People bitch about RV ownership while dropping $10-$15 a day on lunch, go out to eat dinner/visit bars frequently, buy the hottest tech, wear the most trendy clothes/shoes, and travel to either Europe or the Caribbean every year or two.
Mean spirited article - A lot of people retire, sell their homes and live in these full time.
Not like they are commuting in these things, in the rare times they actually drive them, they go from one location and stay at a camp ground for some time and move to the next destination.
“but RVs are also big and clunky and churn through a lot of gas and probably represent the opposite direction we want to go in as far as transportation goes.”
You lost me when you refer to RV’s as “transportation”. They’re not. They’re a way of life. The worlds got bigger problems than how a few hundred thousand retirees or middle aged people (spread across a nation of 300 million) decide to spend their money, vacation time and /or live out their retirement years.
How did you manage to turn this into not only a political post but also make it sound bad that people once again have disposable income and can afford to make purchases like this? Not to mention 88% of the units sold are tow-ables. Which means they use zero fuel.
