The only similarity to me is that they both have guns, Battlefront 1 is still better than all the Battlefield games to me.

I'm really tired of the attitude that the Prequels are universally accepted as bad. It took a long time for me to get over my crushed expectations, but The Clone Wars series and Star Wars Ring Theory have totally changed my mind. The Prequels are necessary to the saga and can't just be dismissed as bad.

Bieber has sold millions of albums but that doesn’t make his music good.

I think the Battlefront reveal is a perfect example of diverting attention away from the game. The dev hypes up the spirit and the making of the game, and ignores the actual game, the stuff we have our hands on and interact with the most in the final product. Was there any actual gameplay shown? People need to get a

Who the hell cares about a DICE campaign?!?!

I never noticed nor cared.

The official announced maps are Tatoonie, Hoth, Endor and Sullust. About a week before the film comes out, everyone is given a map for a place called Jakku.
There’s been a confirmed lack of space battles, so I would assume features from Battlefront2 like Instant Action and Galactic Conquest are off the table.
Its also

Yes. Yes it is.

Not really. There’s a ton else that’s different. People like to describe Battlefront as Star Wars Battlefield, but it really wasn’t. There were similarities, but there were a ton of big differences.

It has been my experience that the when the characters “EA” are scratched into something, it is there to serve as a warning. The direct translation of EA into modern English is “Do not pre-order” but what the context of this foreboding message is, only the ancients know.

And what about Bad Company? Huh? Are people forgetting how fucking enjoyable the campaign for both games were? Was the multiplayer for both games sacrificed for the development of their campaigns? I think not.

Minus Galatic Conquest, space battles, people can complain about a lack of campaign two but it’s the others that leave something to be desired for me.

From my impression you will not be playing a battlefront game, you will be playing Battlefield CQL with 40 players on Star Wars maps with Star Wars guns.

Hardline wasn’t DICE, that was Visceral, DICE’s last launch was still the steaming turd BF4

Yep. I think it’s a troubling sign when all the biggest surprises during the reveal panel for a game are centered on what’s not in the game rather than what is.

Am I the only one still bummed out that the ORIGINAL DEVELOPERS were shafted, and the TRUE BATTLEFRONT games are 1 and 2 and this is just a DICE game w/ a SW skin?

Seeing as how when actually questioned by PC Gamer they came out and said there were no space battles it’s clear to me they’re just making a Battlefield game with a Star Wars skin and are just making everyone focus on the visuals to hide the lack of actual content. No campaign, no space, probably no Galactic Conquest.

The footage was not really spectacular, mostly coming off as a Battlefield-like standard shooter with a Star Wars skin and a decent-looking gimmick with the AT-AT. In other words, it didn’t appear to do much that seemed particularly outlandish or surprising.

Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Preordering because you like what you see?
