There have a whole series of novels about them. Pretty good ones too. There are a couple of hokey moments (*spoilers* Galen on Z'ha'dum I'm looking at you */spoilers*), but the history/society of the mages is pretty interesting.

Ah @Baulderstone:disqus , but near the beginning of the season we get the Neil Gaiman episiode featuring Rebo and Zooty. Even if the episode is just chock-a-block full of "friend/lover/heroin-buddy comes out of person A's past to teach-them-a-lesson/provide-closure/provide-foreshadowing."

@avclub-c0346985d8c2d12fd123ef7d6829dcf7:disqus From what I've read about Andreas, he loved the make-up. To be able to hide under it all and have to act through it somehow really transformed him. You'd never know that the One-Armed Man could give me freakin' shivers by reading Yeats's The Second Coming.

When I first saw a picture of the B5 crew in a newspaper (I think) ad leading up to the pilot (I think), my initial thought upon seeing Londo was "Oh my gosh. Colonel Klink. In Space!"

@avclub-23dc117ef9479407fb6c6a666005af40:disqus Those of us who lived this real time and had to wait 7 days for a new episode at best of times (provided we could figure out which godsforsaken time slot our local PTN affiliate had stuck it in), or had to wait weeks and months for seemingly bizzare season breaks to be…

There is a "quote" out there from "JMS" something to effect of "The Vorlons didn't miss," but as no one can find the original (and let's face it, most of JMS's better poops of the 90's are itemized somewhere on the internet) it's probably apocryphal. The best actual quote from him is "Just to clarify…the Vorlon ship…
