Several years ago I went to see the Braves play in Philly. The Falcons were playing the Eagles that same night. I went to the Braves/Phillies game wearing a Falcons jersey. I got a lot of grief as I was "coming" but as I was "going" I got high-fives: I was wearing my Ron Mexico jersey!

Wore my Capitals gear to two Flyers-Caps playoff games while I as in college. Had an awesome time. I didn't act like an asshole, and the philly fans responded in kind. Just some good-natured shit talk back and forth. I never felt threatened.

That's bullshit. Fans should respect fans of other teams. Home fans should be respectful hosts to visitors. Anything else is unacceptable.
