I could use some advice on how to move the Users folder in Windows 7. I have the OS on a smaller SSD and would really like to keep some space open. iTunes is the big culprit here (with backups, etc.), but I'd like to plan for the future a little by just moving the whole Users folder.

I have loved Lifehacker and Gizmodo for a number of years now. They were the two sites I visited most every day. The combination of great writers and great commenters was unbeatable.

@Whitson Gordon: And if only Amazon Prime Streaming worked on your TiVo...the On Demand stuff does, but Prime Streaming does not.

Is it just me, or does that picture look like a color version of an illustration from "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark"?

I think you're on the money here: applying to very different jobs within the same company definitely shows a lack of focus and doesn't reflect well on the candidate. But if the positions require similar skills—or, at the least, different skills that you possess and are reflected on your resume—then it's OK to apply

Besides the typical 401(k), etc., I'm preparing financially by investing in mutual funds every month. I make an automatic investment through GoalMine, a great little site that really makes investing easy. The automatic monthly investment is key for me—I need it to happen without my intervention, or it won't happen.

Thanks for the information. I've been meaning to take the plunge on Lightroom for some time now, and your recommendation may be just what I need to prompt me to make the move. Would you say that the move from PS to Lightroom was relatively easy?

I definitely need to do just that. I feel pretty comfortable with many of the tools in PS, but the pen is one I haven't spent enough time with yet.

Get a Logitech Z-2300 2.1 set. Dented box: $80. I love these speakers. [Logitech]

I couldn't get to the article, but I would wholeheartedly agree that an overly-lengthy resume is a negative, especially if you don't really have the experience to merit such a long resume.

McMaster-Carr is a really excellent resource for information about fasteners (and tons of other products). Although I prefer their print catalog, their website is also terrific.

@WidowMaker: In the case of Apple, yeah, it's pretty consumer-unfriendly. But in other applications, tamper-resistant screws are a great idea. You see them (with a somewhat different head style) all the time in elevators and other places where you really don't want people taking things apart.

@omega552003: You'd definitely get a funny look, because you'd be saying it wrong. "SMS" is sheet metal screw—it's not a bolt. If you were to ask for a self-drilling sheet metal screw, I think they'd be happy to help you.

@awperk: Totally agree. They rock.

@mados123: Agreed—it's really great. Best place for fasteners, hands-down, both in selection and presentation.

@SethThresher: Are you sure that non-military people can't join the banking portion? This page seems to indicate that the banking services are open to others.

@ihityouinthenose: That's because HTML does not recognize double spaces unless explicitly requested using a non-breaking space.

Does anyone know of a good way to display on the (Win7) desktop the number of unread Google Voice messages I have?
