I love Michelle Obama and think she should remain First Lady forever, but Eleanor Roosevelt needs some credit here. She was pretty damn amazing as a First Lady.

As a black American what hurts most is that Obama will never publicly be able to discuss the racism that flourished around his election to the presidency. Maybe in a late in life or post mortem memoir, but even then, white people would fucking lose their shit.

I love that family so much. Those girls are GORGEOUS. I have the dvd of the campaign special, “By the People”, and they were like 7 and 10 I think back in 2008. So cute.
