This 100%. How stupid do directors think we are to buy JLaw in things like Joy and American Hustle? I’ve refused to see both those films solely on the fact she doesn’t look old enough for either part. FFS she could still play a high schooler.

The person from an already over represented demographic isn’t worried about his demo’s representation in media and can’t fathom why demographics, who face prejudice in all aspects of life but particularly media representation, want to at least have adequate media representation.

I’m with you. She seems like she studied in the Kristen Stewart school of acting. I don’t get all the hoopla about her and I’ve heard all the stuff of her being one of Weinstein’s girls. Which makes me all sorts of sad about what women have to do to get roles.

She confuses me. The only movie I’ve seen (all the way through) with her in it was American Hustle. Everyone kept telling how great she was in that, and I just felt like I was taking crazy pills...
