It's so bizarre to me that this is by far the most 'family friendly' original show that ABC Family ever aired.

Seriously.  So many women I know who join me in complaining about poor female characterization watch "Game of Thrones," "The Big Bang Theory", "Breaking Bad," loved watching "Pacific Rim" on opening weekend, and cheer on "Hannibal."*  I mean get a clue.  Support progressive media for women when it shows up!

I get a lot of the criticisms against the dolls brought up - well, mainly the body image one. I super wish fashion dolls were at least thin like an actual thin woman. We don't even have dolls that are realistically the size of actual fashion models so if we could just start there as a baseline, that'd be cool.

However…

Gosh, I really thought I was doing well with my career, supporting myself, and still having fun. I better take a good, hard look and realize how to actually be a woman and not just a play-acting child.

I assume most states have an ID requirement by now.
