windows at least comes with video codecs pre-installed.

flipping your steak every 15-30 seconds is the absolute stupidest advice i have ever heard regarding steak. you need to fully cook each side before flipping, or your steak will fail.

there's always the iphone. i don't see high end android getting smaller. or rather, much smaller.

the 'most popular' list doesn't just have random phones in it, though. the One X, razr maxx, galaxy nexus, etc. are all really amazing devices. whereas LG can look fantastic on paper, but never really perform as it should. disclosure, i do own a verizon galaxy nexus, and it is a beast.

VOTE: Samsung Galaxy Nexus

ubuntu isn't the only one that distributes a live cd (practically every distro does this now), i thought you were going to mention wubi.

again, the question was "what if a 2 TB HDD fails?"

your question was "what if a 2 TB HDD fails and you lose it all?" the answer is RAID. I did not say you were buying them every year. i was just answering your question. not having 300 hundred dollars of disposable income in one year is a priorities problem, not a money problem.

curious, buy why would you choose ubuntu over mint? i feel like mint has all the strengths of ubuntu with none of the weaknesses (unity, having to install video drivers and codecs seperately, etc.)

RAID. look it up.

so, that's a ghost. from the canceled game starcraft: ghost. i see perfectly how it's starcraft, looks more like you're just not as big a fan.

If you'd rather wear it as a backpack, you shouldn't have bought a messenger bag. This won't really impress anyone. Being able to do something doesn't mean you should.

you are correct.

pay a little more, get an ultrabook. all you lose out on is the pad and paper capability of a touchscreen + stylus. but you could always pack a smaller wacom pad for that.

way too many aspergers posts. it's not even recognized on its own now, if i recall. it's been lumped in with autism.

the only time i had to pull a battery was on my samsung transform. that was the phone's fault, not the app.

since they're your friend, tell them that their computer is disgusting and that they should clean it.

no.

i know that the job switching statement was simply presented, but I feel like pointing out that just because something is a norm hardly makes it acceptable. otherwise all americans, myself included, should really be trying harder to get those diabetes.

this one's interesing, because the suggustion is good, but the article is also terrible. AV programs hate each other, end of story.
