There are no foreign players on the USMNT. There are quite a few Americans who were born in foreign countries, however.

If something cool happens in MLS and Haisley isn’t there to write an article Barca-splaining why it’s actually crap, did it really happen?
I don’t think you really understand my point. I’m not a big-shot by any stretch, but I’ve been in plenty of budget meetings where dozens of scenarios or requests or predictions have been presented— and quickly ended up in the wastepaper basket. Just because a prediction was created and presented doesn’t actually mean…
Those are the hard, agreed upon budget projections or just a document or scenario that was presented at a meeting? There’s a huge difference.
You — and Haisley— are conflating different problems. The MLS money issue is real, but it’s a problem for established guys like Bradley. Here we have a guy who was doing very well in Serie A who really should have stayed there. But that has nothing to do with our youth development or U23 performance!
I’m not suggesting that those teams aren’t criticized, only that it’s not particularly easy to play the finest style of play in the world just because you want to.
The other — more relevant counter— is that just because you want a certain style of play or player doesn’t mean they automatically materialize. The reason England doesn’t play like Brazil or produce unbelievably creative 10s isn’t because they don’t recognize their deficiencies or aren’t spending the money.
There are so many situations where I really question whether Bernie knows what the fuck he’s even talking about.
The phrase “model of coolness for American men” resonates with me more than the specifics of publishing nudes.
I can’t hate a kid whose parents clearly have a love of Superman villains and slant rhymes.
He's actually an Arsenal fan, which is almost as bad.
I think one of the things you’re missing here is that baseball is the only major US sport which is more of a rural game than an urban one. There are very different norms about self-expression when we’re talking about the country, to say nothing of the very religious culture of country life and all that brings with it.…
Not that I love Big Sam, but I think that he does better with Payet and— as you rightly bring up— Michail Antonio.
I agree SB is a better manager than BS, however, Dimitri Payet is the biggest difference for the Irons this year.
Say what you will about Big Sam, the man has never been relegated.
No doubt. And look, MLS is quickly closing the gap on Liga MX (though not there yet), which we can all agree is a real league.
No MLS isn’t as good as the Championship, but who says that it is? It’s sort of pathetic to rip on the MLS so hard given that it continues to get significantly better and it’s our domestic league. Have some pride.
Notwithstanding the fact that 16 is the age of consent in the UK, it really does matter who fell for this. American hero Emerson Hyndman is only 19, for example. Not sure I can really get upset about him fielding a fan query from a very legal (if fictitious) 16 year old.
You also must know that Yale gives free admission to anyone from a family with income under $65,000. Between that and the athletic scholarships they don't give at all, I'd say there's plenty of money available for low income students.
You know that Yale doesn't give athletic scholarships right? Don't let that stop your grandstanding though.
