You — and Haisley— are conflating different problems. The MLS money issue is real, but it’s a problem for established guys like Bradley. Here we have a guy who was doing very well in Serie A who really should have stayed there. But that has nothing to do with our youth development or U23 performance!

The other — more relevant counter— is that just because you want a certain style of play or player doesn’t mean they automatically materialize. You also must know that Yale gives free admission to anyone from a family with income under $65,000. Between that and the athletic scholarships they don't give at all, I'd say there's plenty of money available for low income students.
