He clearly forgot to account for the idiot factor

I also had very mixed feelings about Reed this episode. Over all I was kind of rooting for him by the end, but I really didn't like that he looked in Keith's bag. My biggest complaint about the move is that as smarmy as it is to go through someone else's stuff, it didn't really seem to help his position that much. It

Just throwing this out there: worst two challenges in a single episode ever? Or the least telegenic, at least?

She was like a warrior princess pulling that rope. I loved it.

I agree and I really hope that Josh will be back so we can see how he plays a second time. Something tells me his second time could end up going more of the Tyson in HvV route though…and it would be delicious.

I'm actually starting to see the first glimmers of a path to victory for Jaclyn, as strange as it may sound. She (along with Jon) has been the deciding vote and the focus of just about every episode since the swap. Add that to her power play tonight and you've (arguably) got yourself a viable winner's edit. I'm not

I loved that part! At one point you could clearly hear Reed go "hey, is that a coconut?"

My favorite part was when she said something about people hating her before they even get to know her. Jeff pounced on that because I'm sure he thought he could get her to talk about Rocker, but what she really meant was that she's just sooo hot that people pre-judge her. As a lifelong non-hot woman, I could see that

This episode was really a let down for me. I had high hopes that the merge would really shake up all the alliances, and it actually did - but then we didn't even get to see any of it play out.

I thought Jeff was weirdly nice to her for how lame her reasoning was for the quit. Imagine if it had been Jeremy quitting because he missed Val…

I agree that this was really Dale's only option here, so I don't fault him for trying it, but I keep thinking that the offer itself should have been a red flag to Jon and the rest that the idol was a fake. I mean, if you know you're next on the chopping block and you have an idol, you can play the idol and guarantee

Keith has quite possibly invented a whole new Survivor strategy. I want to call it "the Mr. Magoo." His name keeps coming up, and he somehow always wanders right out of danger without doing any actual strategizing. Or, at least that's what the edit is suggesting. And if it's just the product of editing, I'm truly

Erik Reichenbach is the only other one that springs to mind immediately as a Michigander. Just judging by those three, Michigan has had a pretty poor showing :/

I was disappointed that we didn't really get to see anything about why/how Keith chose who to vote with. Once Missy and Baylor started talking about a vote-split, I just shrugged and said "they must have Keith," which probably would have spoiled the ending if I had thought about it more at the time…

My greatest wish is that at some season finale, Jeff will walk stoically into the ocean until he is fully submerged, then they will cut to him walking out of the ocean again in Manhattan, still carrying all of the votes.

I love the 'what would you have done' game too! Based on what we were shown, I thought Rocker's safest option would probably have been to gather up his tribe before the hero challenge and say "When I was at exile island Jeremy made me promise to take care of Val but I never intended to follow through. He might hassle

Here is my off the wall guess about Julie and Rocker:
We know that Rocker is not a Survivor fan, but what if Julie is? She's played a passable game so far (though she really hasn't had much of a chance to do anything yet), and if you really listened to what she was whining about during her cry-fest, it was that she

I don't think this episode was totally successful, but I did like it a bit more than the reviewer did…
In spite of all the rancor and uncomfortable bickering between the tribes, it was nice to see the narrative kind of come together for Josh this week. I didn't have much respect for his strategic game until last night.

Last week's Baylor vote was definitely the "nobody look over here" of Survivor strategy. As far as we saw, there wasn't much reason for anyone to suspect a strong two alliance between Josh and Baylor. You know what would have been a better strategy to make the guys think he was with them? ACTUALLY VOTING WITH THEM.

It must be so hard for Jeff that he and John Rocker can't be on a last name basis, to show what great bros they are. That alone would tip me off that something was up if I were out there this season…
