I’m pretty meh on COD games most years, and I give it a big thumbs up. The Jackal may now be my favorite video game combat vehicle of all time.

Disney’s licensing department must really be dragging TT through the wringer to get Marvel and Star Wars in this game.

Probably the fact that I spend wayyy too much time doing it (every time) then regretting having spent so much time on it in games where it hardly feels consequential to have them be *your* character - like I did with Sunset Overdrive and Bloodborne.

Right on. I’d been hoping that the creators would realize Gears is a “style” of game more than it is a story setting and take it to a completely new universe - much what like the “other” GOW series is doing by scrapping the Greek mythology for a Norse one.

Their product designers are true innovators of finding new ways to fuck up their products.
