It was not however, all that lovely to look at.

Stockholm Syndrome?
Though I suppose walking to the trash can is technically tougher than tossing your half eaten Taco Bell burrito out the window
“Don’t mess with Texas” loses a lot of it’s badass, stetson wearing, six shooter carrying, Marlboro smoking appeal when you realize it was originally an anti-littering slogan.
I really think the Middle East should stick to making the fuel for supercars instead of trying to make the cars. The Lykan Hypersport, Devel Sixteen, and now this, ugh.
Whatever would fit and last long enough for me to drive it by remote control into the design studios of Ssangyong with a bed full of explosives.
So they’re going to sell it in every market except the one which, by far and away, sells the most trucks. Pretty hilarious considering every other aspect seems to be well done; basing it off a Japanese truck means it shouldn’t have shite Merc reliability, diesel engines, and the market for luxury trucks is huge right…
Exactly like when I tried to take my Corvette out during the first snow of the year, just for shits and giggles. Those giggles quickly turned into anger at myself for being so stupid. Got stuck in about 150 feet after getting out of the driveway. And the Vette’s rear end was coming out at 7 MPH.
So, kinda like gaining citizenship in the United States?
An interesting engine for sure, but I do wonder about that power figure. As mentioned by someone else, dyno measuring wasn’t reliable above 1000 HP in those days, so it’s a theoretical figure, which was determined through engineers calculations. These calculations were based on a rule of thumb regarding increases in…
I saw the engine they used in this vehicle at the Ransom Olds museum in Lansing Michigan. I’m still blown away by the fact that they got a single turbo 4 banger up to 900 horsepower in those years.
For anyone who wants to read more about the museum: http://oppositelock.kinja.com/pictures-and-d…
“I might be imprisoned for murder, but at least I’ll still have my license!”
You know what else has gotten really stale? People complaining about these articles for the same damn reason every time. We get it, jags aren’t as reliable as Chevys. But you buy them for different reasons.
I get that Cadillac is a symbol of America, but seriously this rebody does more harm than good, clearly.
If you must stick with the whole Cadillac image, keep the Topkick underpinnings, but make it look like an Escalade or something. You know, with actual ground clearance. Hell I bet you’d even be able to sell some…
I’m sure they can make it loud, the harder part is making it sound good. And let’s not mess about, the version of this in the GT will be tuned to at least 600 HP. That’s just what they’re promising at launch, given the climate of supercars it’ll be competing against, I’d wager we’ll be seeing more like 700. That’s…
Lets be honest the V6TT is an excellent engine, but that V8 is really what you want with the Raptor. Everything about the truck is brash, loud and shouty, why not the bit that makes noise?
So how quickly does this burn out the starter motors? Seems like they’d experience a quicker than normal rate of failure, unless they use something way overpowered for the car, which would be expensive.
Feel free to explain this to me if I’m missing something here.
Out delivering pizza one time in my Aurora, I realized I’d taken a wrong turn and had to turn around. This was on a country road mind you, and I didn’t feel like waiting for a driveway. No problem, I thought, just go a bit off the side of the road and turn around, right? Wrong! What looked to me like a regular old…
This is quite true. The one who works at the Fort Lauderdale Collection used to sell private jets for the Aero Toy Store, but got out of that game during the financial collapse. Things were pretty bad in the jet market at that point, he was making overseas trips to the Middle East quite often just to try and unload…
I for one love listening to jazz alone in my car
