Seems like these could break off easily. On my Oldsmobile Aurora, the passenger mirror dips down when in reverse gear so you can see the curb while parallel parking. Seems to be a better system than curb feelers.

There’s a very good looking 3000gt VR4 near me. Supposedly everything works except some problem with starting, fuel delivery or some such. Low mileage, but still wants 5k for a car that you can’t test drive. Seriously considered it before settling on my Corvette.
“Welcome to [exotic location] Dr. Indiana Jones. I am your contact of dubious allegiances”
I’m not certain, but it sounds like this video has absolutely terrible sound quality, if you listen to the other noises they sound a little watery and tinny. It’s hard to tell with all that noise from the exhaust though.
If the video does have decent sound though you’re right, those pipes do not have good vibration
Came here to post this, basically. I like not being held up by everyone towing their boats up north because their trucks can safely tow at 70 mph.
To be fair that’s a good one to use. 3800s are incredibly easy to make power with, and a lot cheaper than the LT-LS engines.
Ask me how I know...
I find the worst offender to be the seller who claims their car is a manual “because it can do both”.
New cars in general? A basic hatchback is getting on for 20k USD nowadays with a few options, and as Tavarish would remind us, we could have a twin turbo V20 lamborghini astonrarri for that price.
They say a car loses a few grand the moment you drive it off the lot, so why bother? You could have something as good as…
Wow, I never realized how ugly the interiors on these early models were. So what if it used to be a military vehicle, that thing looks like a Tahoe inside, only with worse wood, if you can even call that brown plastic wood. Also what the HELL is that stereo doing down there. WITH A SCREEN. Hold on let me just look at…
According to the excellent Steve Coogan, it is Lexi.
People who complain about leather boots on automatics are the worst kind of manual purists.
I am prepared for the flamestorm to come with this answer, but I”m putting it out there anyways
Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, W-Body. Comes with about 250hp courtesy of a supercharged 3800, which is an incredibly reliable engine. Furthermore, they’re very cheap cars to tune. A smaller pulley, intercooler, exhaust, and a tune…
Having just test driven both a WS6 T/A and a 93 Corvette LT1 6 speed, I ended up buying the vette. They both drove well, I found the f body to be a little more raw than the Corvette, if that makes sense. However, there are two things that I will never ever get over in an F-Body, and will always prevent me from buying…
+1 for Hungarian Monty Python referencing name
My father had a 96 740iL that would have been mine at 260k if not for being smashed while parked.
Honestly I’m glad, that thing was about to become a pocketbook nightmare
+1 for Nujabes/Shingo2 music and mad skids
Feel the wipers through the brake pedal? What is this?
Obviously warranties aren’t worth it most of the time, but I think Doug has been pretty clear throughout these articles about this joke being more about Land Rover’s legendary unreliability, more than a “buy the warranty” pitch.
The tone of the story always seems to be “RR ownership would be absolutely terrible if I…
I broke up with a girl because she got rid of her awesome late 90s Suburban for one of these and thought it was just amazing.
Also just the other week, my coworker opened the door on his and the panel fell right off.
Came here to post about a terrible 2nd gen Accent hatch my cousin owns. It didn’t have a tach, it’s significantly slower than my 1.6 Miata, and the only other abiding memory I have is fear of death. I imagine it’s what 80s cars must have been like, only made in 1999
