Jamaal, Darius, Tyrone etc

If they sell enough in the US and ppl keep demanding the manual, theyll eventually bring it over.

This couldve been me! I live in the Tampa Bay area! Yikes!

Dont forget about Dodge. They are leaving the compact segment altogether! If you want a Dodge car, you either get a Charger or Challenger.

The Veloster N-Sport has a nice ring to it though.

The Veloster Turbo looks faster than what it is. The name also implies that its fast. Its faster than your typical n/a 150hp compact, but not on the same level as a ST, MS3, SRT4 etc. The v6 Gen Coupe was a direct competitor to the 370z, but never quite hit the mark and doesnt have the prestige/legacy as the nissan.

As a former Veloster Turbo owner i will say this....I feel like it makes ideal power/speed for its size/weight. Its not the fastest thing on wheels but its no slouch either. Its ideal. As far as handling, theres tons of room for improvement. It doesnt use Independent Rear Suspension, but that was a cost cutting measure

The Veloster Turbo and Fiesta ST are pretty much identical power wise and they use the same sized engine. Its safe to say that in the US, the focus ST is more popular than the fiesta which makes sense. We demand larger cars here. It makes sense for Hyundai to compete in the compact segment vs the subcompact segment.

I dont think its risky for Mazda to get back into the hot hatch/high performance smaller car segment. They already have the engine (2.5T from cx9 and an awd system in multiple vehicles)... And Mazda is the master of driving dynamics already. How easy would it be to drop the cx9 engine into a 3 or 6? Its plug and play

260hp isnt bad for a front driver. Puts it inline with your Focus ST’s and Mazdaspeed3's of the world. It also is a massive improvement over the existing Veloster Turbo.

Exactly. VW has likely destroyed the diesel car here in the US

I have a 15 Mazda6 also. The crazy thing about the Skyactiv-D is that Mazda states that since its a low compression diesel, it doesnt require urea. It should be easier for them to meet US emission standards. Maybe theyre finding that they cant hit performance of mpg targets with more strict emissions standards.

Preach!

They seem redunant in some cases. Mazda is a great example (i love Mazda btw) but they offer “overlapping” vehicles. The Mazda3 hatchback, cx3, Mazda6 & cx5. If you genuinely need the “versatility” of a cuv, you should consider the cx5. The cx3 is a mini cx5 (which the Mazda3 could also be categorized as). If you just

For some, i dont understand the obsession. If youre single and dont need to haul stuff, why buy a cuv/suv? I responded to a Mazda cx3 facebook post a few days ago...I pretty much proposed that Mazda make a awd Mazda3 hatch rather than the cx3. Both cars share the same engine and many other parts, but the cx3 is

The Challenger Hellcat wouod benefit greatly from awd. Traction is a huge issue for the car. I understand that making it awd is “betraying” its muscle car roots, but it needs traction!!! Many have noted that the stock tires are too skinny also. Putting wider wheels and tires in the back would help some. Not sure why

My goal as a driver is to get from point a to point b quickly and safely without getting in anyone elses way/slowing them down. That means reacting quickly to green lights and merging/proceeding into gaps in traffic when possible (one thing that annoys me is when someone in front of me wont merge/proceed when theres

It wouldnt work unless the engine is at operating temp of course

Automakers have to assume the worst of drivers instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt. Sure, ppl should pay attention when parking their vehicle, but you cant rely on drivers to be attentive 100% of the time. The auto park feature shouldve been programmed in from the beginning. All makers need to do more real

I think its the lack of tactile feedback and the fact that the shifter bounces back to the same position regardless of PRND. I feel like most drivers in general arent always observant either. This is a recipe for disaster. On a incline especially, it should be obvious if the car isnt in park the moment you let off the
