Probably, but i guess a true cold air intake would pose the same problem. Theyll likely use plastic areo panels under the car to help shield the intake ducts. I could also see them being extra cautious in terms of sealing the intake tract.

I dont understand why this car isnt offered with an optional turbocharged engine! Toyota doesnt offer anything else that could be ‘cannibalized’ by a turbo model. Subaru is strictly awd sedan. Would FCA develop new engines to be used in these new compact/midsize vehicles or would they use the partner's engine? The Scion IA uses the Mazda engine.
