I once had a fantastic solo session to Carmina Burana. Is that massively pretentious? But the dramatic bits of ‘O Fortuna’ made for an excellent climax.

Isn’t it completely marvellous? I actually think it is the perfect adaptation. It is so wonderfully cast! Plus it is my favourite Austen novel.

I love the (1994?) BBC version of Persuasion with Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds. It is on YouTube but I expect other places too!

Hi! I have been thinking about this. How would you feel about sending a copy of the email to the prosecutors with a note saying, “I thought you would like to know that untruths are being used to solicit the character letters”? That might make you feel a bit better about the sense that the process of it being swept

I have always interpreted it as meaning, “hello you actual human who just let me do that for reals,” because I think we humans basically are all insecure and vulnerable. Or am I projecting here...? I like that the bloke also thought it was about it being a moment of vulnerability for the chap.

You know the floor routines? The women do it to music, but the men don’t, right? Why is that? I feel slightly icky about it as if it is a bit oooh ladies do pretty dancing but MEN do HARD GYM TUMBLING that IS NOT dancing. But I don't know anything about gymnastics and would appreciate contributions on this!

Like Louis Smith did in the UK’s men's gymnastics team final... He was chosen only to do the pommel, they needed big scores for bronze and he fell. :(

What’s the artwork behind her in that first tweet? The black and pink words one? Does it say CHEAH backwards? Is it a Lochte tribute perhaps?

I love Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights. Unashamedly. Romola Garai! Diego Luna! Young love! Dancing in the sea! Revolution! Not fitting in with the snobby kids! It ticks so many of my films-I-love boxes.

I have recently read and enjoyed ‘The Heart Goes Last’ by Margaret Atwood, ‘Asking For It’ by Louise O’Neill and ‘Lies We Tell Ourselves’ by Robin Talley.

I am sad now because the trailer looked fun with a great song choice and I spotted women and PoC! So I was basically kinda in, despite knowing less than nothing about any comics at all.

I starred this because I thought it was a beautiful parody. Then I worried that it was for reals. Please reassure me you are a satirist and not an eloquent eejit?

I’m thinking what I think would have been a saying of my grandfather, had he had an opinion on it: “Never trust a man in red trousers.”

The well-received speech, which CNN described as “the most consequential of his career,”

I have recently read and loved two great YA novels: Asking For It by Louise O’Neill and Lies We Tell Ourselves by Robin Talley.

I am a Brit and don’t know who Christie Brinkley is. But when I read this headline, I thought this was the hoser. And it was much more exciting, I gotta say.

Was it after Achilles? I would kinda like to name my hypothetical child that, but I don’t know if it is too much to do to a small British baby.

Thank you! That is super helpful. I do have a pot of generic multi-vitamins next to my bed, I just suck at remembering to take the damn things!

That is kinda my fear - that I have so much fun picking then I see the final results in a normal mirror and realise it might have been fun but it looks a bit monstrous now. Kinda the story of my life... Totally fun, looks monstrous!
