I find him incredibly attractive.

Loathed it. You are spot on about her imo. I hated that “random famous person would be on my side in the divorce” nonsense. Ugh.

How about delicious anticipation tempered with bitter disappointment? That would describe most dates I’ve had through the interweb.

It took me and my dad a season and a half to figure out that the full name of the player called “Tiff” in the rugby team we support was Christopher. We discussed it at length several times previously and just decided he had eccentric parents who had perhaps been determined to have a girl named Tiffany.

I thought it looked like quis not quia. Not sure if that makes it grammatically better, I am so rusty.

I really enjoyed (maybe that is the wrong word) Asking For It by Louise O’Neill. It is a great YA novel about rape culture. I discussed it with someone else on the Mandy Moore thread but I am not going to link to it because it is very spoilery.

They confiscated your novel? Did you get it back? What were you supposed to do when you were waiting?

Hope it all turns out ok, Tina!

Hi! So I bought this on Saturday - a bookshop was heavily promoting the novels nominated for some YA award. I read the first few pages in the shop and like you found it hard to get into - in trying to avoid an info dump there wasn’t enough exposition, imo, - I kept having to go back and check who was who and who the
