Can't say that I'm surprised. I remember reading somewhere that in Japan, Denny's is considered to be in the middle to high range for family restaurants, unlike in the US.

they're really expensive. last time I was there I got big ol' plate of appetizer sandwiches and a beer, all I could afford.
