Exactly. The “true” stories were often bullshit that somebody claimed to have occurred. I remember one where an English-speaking American child supposedly spontaneously developed the ability to speak in fluent Mandarin because of a past life or something.

If we want Samantha on the show, nothing’s gonna stop us now.”

Well this just feels sad.  Are we approaching a recast or just Weekend at Bernies a Kim Cattrall dummy?

I actually loved “Because he IS Batman, you IDIOT!”

It also gave Christopher Walken the best line in any Batman movie:

“Your father’s lightsaber.  An elegant weapon, from a more civilized age.”

Obi Wan’s dad was wise to hand over his baby, lest his face the wrath of the Jedi’s signature (only?) move?

Never takes long for a Musk bro to show up and post something cringy and hilarious.

He had nothing to do with it? Surely as the creator of the show and the actor who portrays two of the main characters, he has some say in what the show is like, even if he doesn’t have a hand in the writing now.

“Leia’s “help me Obi-Wan Kenobi” message that she gives to R2-D2 in the movie seems to imply that she and Obi-Wan do not know each other, but she eventually does meet Obi-Wan in part two of the premiere and she hears him referred to as Obi-Wan—despite his insistence that he is called “Ben.””

That’s cool. Makes sense he’d pop up as a background singer on a TV on the Radio album.

mind game is one of the greatest movies of all time. If that tanked ratings then it’s a net loss for all animation lovers out there that still pay for cable

Unfortunately, I can see the Academy adding more violence next year to increase viewership. Dame Judi Dench and Olivia Colman in fisticuffs. Timothee Chalamet slamming Tom Holland’s head into the stage. John Williams leaping from the ring to deliver a diving clothesline to Hans Zimmer.

Or you could just...not click/comment on South Park articles. I’m not a Marvel fan but you don’t see me on every article feeling a need to comment, nawmean?

I guess they don’t like the Harley Quinn animated series either?

Man, I remember Death’s Head! Tried real hard to get into all those UK books Marvel pushed in the early 90s (Death’s Head, Motormouth, Knights of Pendragon) but I could never get into them, and that page with The Doctor kind of explains why. Just not much for a 13-14 year old kid from Nashville to latch onto.

Took until now for me to remember that Robert Zemeckis also directed the original Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Almost feels too mean to mock him in a movie so indebted to his work. But boy does he deserve it.

Disney’s relationship with Hasbro is even weirder when you look at their relationship by way of Marvel. Back in the 80's Marvel did some toy tie-in comics for different toy companies. Marvel writers Bob Budiansky and Larry Hama helped create the backstories for Transformers and GI Joe respectively.

There’s also MC Skat Kat, whose owned by...Paula Abul’s label?

The Dark Knight movie was based on The Long Halloween, too, which Reeves references here. It is the whole basis of the Dent storyline.
