Cool World fails because Bakshi had a very specific story planned out (a horror noir set in the world of Dick Tracy/Sin City style crime/detective comics) and the studio mandated that he do a Roger Rabbit knock-off.

Also, the idea that Heavy Metal = major boobage spilled into the magazine which (pre-movie) was probably one of the most important works of SF ever published. Not just in comics but in the genre as a whole it was probably on equal footing with New Worlds in how it revitalized the game. Everyone from William Gibson to

They’re being facetious.

There was a TV show called Celebrity Rehab, it got cancelled years ago - partly because so many of participants died.

No it doesn’t. Notice how the article points out (and the comment section largely reiterates) the outrage this is causing?

This is similar to the controversy surrounding that lawmaker who said “birthing people”. It’s not really a thing one person/group did/said something stupid with the best of intentions and were

IMDb information is meaningless. Anyone can edit that.

The parents from the preschooler cartoon Bluey.

As someone with 9 nieces and nephews who I’ve babysat a lot over the past 25 years, Disney Junior is (without question) the worst of preschool television.

The vast majority of their programming is like nails on a chalkboard and their one saving grace is Bluey which they’re not even involved with production wise. And

I know people really like the Mario sketch but the reason you can “imagine [it] going into development” is because it went into development. There was a weird, dystopian Mario movie and it was much stranger than anything in the sketch, so that made the sketch kind of a miss for me.

Lady Bird.

Kindred is pretty much a Hulu show. It’s part of FX on Hulu which is basically “We have little to no faith in this show, so we’re just going to dump onto Hulu all at once instead of airing it on one of our cable networks... Or we want to show peen/boobs.”

Tubi has a subchannel from Charles Band’s Full Moon that features some of their Skinemax era softcore porn.

There are rumors that Warner Bros. Discovery tried to to pull out of its deal with 20th Studios Animation and get out of airing the upcoming two seasons of American Dad! that TBS ordered before the merger.

Apparently American Dad! does really good streaming numbers for Hulu, so if TBS does end up dropping it, I imagine

They were writers for a comedy proposed television comedy film to coincide with the Bicentennial which never got off the ground.

RIP.

I love The Addams Family but Loring also has one of my favorite WTF random celebrity facts. When acting roles started drying up, Loring began working as a script doctor and makeup artist in the porn industry. While working on a pornographic parody of the Traci Lords scandal, Loring met and fell in love with adult

David and Brandon Cronenberg > God and Jesus.

I brought this up here with House of the Dragon and the discourse around, anyone who thinks gay characters dying = the “bury your gays” trope needs to read The Celluloid Closet or watch the equaling good documentary based on it.

While “bury your gays” exists as far back as works of 18th Century literature, it was coined

They had one, it was a service they launched with Criterion called FilmStruck. AT&T killed it when they merged with Warner Media and created HBO Max. Although it appears that there were know hard feelings and HBO Max and the Criterion Channel have some kind of working relationship going on.

Yeah because Skarsgard has no experience playing effects makeup heavy monsters and after the last Spider-Man, I’m sure Dafoe is just aching to experience that special kind of purgatory that Harrison Ford and James Earl Jones are currently trapped in where they just keep playing the same characters they put behind them

Nope. Saw someone on another site defending him because he was “baited” into messaging minors, even though in at least one of the exchanges, it appears he sent the first message.
