TCM is definitely a slasher film.
It arguably laid the groundwork for the classic slasher formula of teenagers find themselves being picked off one by one (often in a place where no one can help them like a summer camp, cabin in the woods, or their dreams) by a (more often than not masked) killer and only one of them

but Hellraiser is so much more satisfying and thoughtful. Not to mention the fantasy of it all is shockingly great.

People are voting for Leprechaun over Jeepers Creepers because - as far as I know - Leprechaun wasn’t made by a convicted sex offender.
Also - if we’re taking sequels into account - when the Leprechaun goes to Vegas, those films become stupid enough to be fun. The Jeepers Creepers sequels are just a sex pervert monster

Also: Hellraiser isn’t a slasher film. There are none of the slasher hallmarks in Hellraiser. Hellraiser takes the themes and tropes of gothic fiction and sets them in 20th Century suburbia.

Bruce Timm is doing a new series called Batman: Caped Crusader and there’s a comic continuation of the Batman: TAS. It’s unlikely the series will ever get a full revival, I’m pretty sure Conroy, Hamill, and Sorkin have retired their characters.

I remember reading that saying it was “averted” was counting your chickens before they hatch because the union as a whole steal had to vote on the deal and a lot of them apparently weren’t happy with it. I could see this - and the resulting public support for crew members - being the nail in the coffin of that

Dude, the minute you mentioned Trump, it became obvious this was a situation of “Baldwin has different political beliefs than me and I’m taking joy in the fact he was involved in a freak accident where someone lost their life.” The fact you mention “grinning” just solidifies the fucked up fact that you’re taking glee

Just to add to a discussion we were having here last week about whether or not Cree Summer’s character was intentionally running a suicide cult, Summer posted the pictures that you see around the office on her Instagram Wednesday and it’s a mixture of her being Photoshopped into photos of cults and staged photos

I don’t think a woman’s extra large bathing suit area is really something people would be talking about in that manner.

Aside from money, is there a logistical reason why blanks are still used and gun shots aren’t done in post? Because I don’t think they were firing blank lasers in Star Wars and SFX technology has has gotten a lot better since then.

Rashomon is regarded as one of the greatest films of all time and must do pretty well sales wise because - going back to when they only did LaserDisc - I don’t think Criterion has ever taken it out of print.
I feel like the real problem here is that The Last Duel is a “prestige” film, that was likely only meant to

They’re a family of eccentrics on the television show from the 60's. In the original New Yorker cartoons and the Sonnenfeld films they - at the very least - actively hurt and maim others (pouring boiling oil on the Christmas carolers in the opening of the first - which was taken right from a Charles Addams’ cartoon)

Also - while I don’t know about the film - I’m pretty sure Druig has mind control in the comics.

The green and gold make me think Eternal Queen may be an early attempt at cashing in on The Eternals.

Fun fact: She wasn’t even nominated for a Kid’s Choice Award until 2003's Dogville.

She looks like Kristen Wiig.

It’s money. If you think that Disney is worried about tarnishing it’s family friendly reputation with something too edgy, you haven’t been paying attention to the film industry for the past four decades.
A Disney owned studio released Pulp Fiction. The same studio nearly released Larry Clark’s KIDS until Disney forced

He was introduced to Bill Mumy through their mutual friend Sissy Spacek.

It’s sort of like how Walt Disney was an anti-Semite mostly because he believed all Jews were communists.

Even Captain Planet taught kids that you shouldn’t try to change the world through violent methods. If you do that, you’re going to be written off as a terrorist and lose the support of those you need to bring to your cause.
Meanwhile doing something as drastic as using his ice breath like that could wind up be
