Counter counterpoint: most race clubs (around me, at least) require either a OEM hardtop or a roll bar (cage is extra). Why add the weight and expense of a hardtop if your (probably more expensive) cage passes required spec and is safer on the road? Even Spec Miata doesn’t require a hardtop (but requires it to be OEM…
yeah, why don’t you go attempt to find a real OEM miata hardtop with the glass, not that weird plexiglass shit for less than like a grand. nobody pays 1000 bucks for something that doesnt even improve the car they bought except for collectors who are... looking for profit in... hardtops...
Oh look, a Subaru owner projecting his lost dreams onto others. This post says more about you than the owner of that Miata.
It sucks that hard tops are a permanent. There should be a way to remove them
Pfft. Without hardtop is more thrilling.
I did this with my Autozam with only 63 hp. When the rear end starts to slide, the instinct is to let off the throttle. That makes the car snap back and spin out. It’s very common in mid rear engine cars. Lift off snap oversteer.
and lo, mustang owners around the world collectively and smugly said
You are wrong. All seasons are bad at every season. Winter tires keep you safe when the temps drop below freezing. Its not just the tread pattern or depth but the compound used in winter tires.
this is a poor take. I mean if youre living in a city and not going anywhere in the winter, sure, i guess? I go to the mountains regularly and on forest roads and whatnot and snows >> all seasons in a big way.
They do everything okay. They’re not as good as dedicated winter tires in the winter or dedicated summer tires in the summer. If you live in a place where it’s consistently below freezing for a few months (e.g. MN or ND) or it snows a lot (e.g. mountains or Western NY), then it’s generally worth it to get dedicated…
“Fap dungeon” is not a term I expected to hear today, but here we are.
ok boomer
Here’s to hoping this spawns an entire series, this was fantastic.
wait, did i just wish they received more hate mail?
I too was confused. Sure looks like a bimmer to me.
I wasn’t actually implying they look alike, just a commentary on how ugly the new 2 series is, it would fit in Toyota’s lineup just fine.
This new BMW 2 series looks pretty good, nice it has a hatch.
I thought it was Se7en?
