That really is amazing. I think that and Tangerine Dream's "Love on a Real Train" from Risky Business were maybe the two best shot musical night sequences from the 80's.

Good call. I just saw Welcome to Sarajevo for the first time since it came out a few months ago.

Homicide had great music. Remember the Cowboy Junkies' "This Street, That Man, This Life" from when Pembleton first comes back after the stroke at the beginning of season 5?

Truly. That song is inextricably tied to that scene. I have an ex who used to have to pull over if the song came on the radio. She couldn't just change the channel. It was an almost instantaneous reaction where she'd just start sobbing.

The Professional reclaimed "Shape of My Heart" from Three of Hearts. The only good things that movie had going for it were that song and Sherilyn Fenn.

Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" magically transports me back to the Miami Vice premier every time.

Good catch. Thanks.

She seems to be having a lot of fun at the expense of humourless and insufferable people.

YES!

I'm surprised she doesn't just kill people with her stare. Her eyes are lethal.

He's had a great year. He's fantastic here, and watching him and Tonya Pinkins chew scenery together on Gotham was great fun.

Mrs. Wellick is very scary. I like her. That bit about drugging the dude so he would understand exactly why he was being killed so that they weren't just common murderers was fantastic.

Fuckin' a, man. Fuckin' a.

This place is turning into Gawker more and more every day. "Horribly wrong?" Watched it last night, and it wasn't nearly that dramatic. The guy immediately interacted with the judges and said he was okay. It didn't even break skin. And they were both clearly more worried about having fucked up the stunt and it

Hot take!

It was a quickie on a tv screen during the montage at the end.

“Told you he was a white guy.”

At least it's not kinja.

For once, I had every intention of drawing it out to savour it instead of just plowing through. Managed to limit myself to 3 before going to sleep. And then the next morning couldn't help myself and had to finish the whole thing.

That was the only scene that caught me off guard. The rest was predictable, but not in a way that in any way detracted from how much I loved it.
